Beginning June 1, 2024
In order to remain in active status within the District of Utah for the period of 2024-2025, attorneys are required to register with and pay an annual registration fee to the U.S. District Court, District of Utah. This process must be completed between the dates of June 1, 2024, and July 1, 2024.
Online registration is mandatory for all Attorneys who practice in either the District Court and/or Bankruptcy Court, although the annual fee is waived for Federal Attorneys, as defined in the local rules of the Utah District Court DUCivR 83-1.1(b)(1).
If you practice in the Bankruptcy Court, you must register with the District Court and pay the annual registration fee to them. The Bankruptcy Court does not require an additional registration beyond that of the District Court.

In accordance with General Order 23-006 of the Utah District Court, active and federal attorneys who fail to register by July 1, 2024, will be unable to electronically file documents in this court as of July 2, 2024. In addition, their membership status will be changed to “registration lapsed,” and they will need to pay a reinstatement fee of $75.00 to reactivate their membership.
