INTEREST IN CHAPTER 11 CASES

(a) Bar Date in Chapter 11 Cases. Unless otherwise ordered by the court, in a chapter 11 case, a proof of claim or interest is timely filed if it is filed not later than 90 days after the first date set for the meeting of creditors under § 341 of the Code, or, if filed by a governmental unit, not later than 180 days after the date of the order for relief.

(b) Notification of Bar Date in Chapter 11 Cases. Unless otherwise ordered by the court, the clerk's office should state the bar dates for filing proofs of claim or interest on the notice entitled "Notice of Commencement of Case under the Bankruptcy Code, Meeting of Creditors, and Fixing of Dates" issued in chapter 11 cases.
